All things are configurations of light
Quantum physics has revealed to us that the ultimate building blocks of the universe are not atoms and subatomic particles but packets of light called “quanta” (hence quantum view of the universe). Therefore all the continents and the oceans, all structures, whether natural or man-made, are aggregates of quanta, or light.
When the Lord said, "I AM the light of the world" (John 8:12), our quantum understanding of light gives the Lord's statement a much wider and deeper meaning than the one that theologians generally give it. It was only John who understood the Lord's claim. When Jesus said “I am the light”, He was saying that He was the substance of all things. “I AM the substance (light) of all things" because ultimately all things are configurations of light. Likewise Paul understood the claim as he revealed it in Colossians - "all things are constituted in Him". That was why Apostle John said, “All things were made in Him”.
Whoever attains the level of consciousness which has the subtlety of, and is coextensive with light, overcomes the world (the law of sin and death) and “can do all things”.
This is what the Lord said as well:
"Whoever overcomes the world (materiality, corporeality, mass) can have all things. He will be a pillar in God's temple. He will have the hidden manna and power over all nations. Whatever I can do he can do as well. Greater things he will do"! (Summarised from 1 John 5:4, Rev. 2:17, Rev. 2:26), Rev. 3:12, John 14:12).
However, one does not have to wait for millions of incarnations, births and rebirths, which the Buddha says is essential, before one attains that level of consciousness. We know that faith in the Death and Resurrection gives us access to that level of consciousness, here and now, by destroying our karma and by dissolving our sense of corporeality, however paradoxical that may sound.
Therefore there is a need for sustained meditation on the Death and Resurrection before we come into the promise, “You can do all things”.
Becoming the light is also what the Buddha referred to as Enlightenment, except that, whereas the Buddha was of the view that we will take countless aeons to attain that level of consciousness, Jesus offers us that possibility, here on earth, if we will but place our unreserved faith in Him and in His Death and Resurrection.
By crucifying the ego-consciousness, faith in the Death removes every barrier to enlightenment, and faith in the Resurrection secures it.
