What it means to be delivered from the law of sin and death

(acronym: LOSAD)

For me, there is no halfway house.

Either we are delivered from LOSAD (the Law of Sin and Death) or we are not. Either we were united with Christ in His Death and Resurrection (D&R) or we were not.

His D&R is history. Therefore, if we were united with Him in His D&R, it must follow that our death and resurrection must also be history and not something yet to happen. Either we have been raised with Him to newness of life or we have not.

Either we were given over to death in Him, so that His life may be manifest in our mortal flesh, or we were not.

If sin is still exercising its stranglehold over the world, if human beings continue to fall ill, suffer cancers and heart attacks, hate each other, fight amongst themselves, practice deception, unrighteousness, violence and war, as if the D&R never took place and as if LOSAD were still in operation, it is not because Jesus was a liar, nor because the D&R was a failure, nor because LOSAD has not been dismantled, but because the world, and that includes evangelists, while paying lip service to Jesus Christ, continue slavishly to submit to Satan, believing in the inevitability of his omnipotence, and even quoting scriptures to show why LOSAD is still in operation and why death is inevitable.

For 2004 years, churches and believers, while paying lip service to ‘deliverance’ and ‘redemption’, have not really believed in it at all. That is why, 2004 years after the Resurrection, there is still so much sin swirling around us.

The Holy Spirit has revealed to me that there are still so many tears and so much pain, disease, poverty, conflict and death around us, as if Jesus had never been crucified, only because, in the first place, the world never really believed in the finality and total sufficiency of the D&R. Instead they try to explain away the sin around them by quoting scriptures in support of it, even though Jesus Himself said, "It is finished". It is as if, failing to get their sums right, they try to prove that mathematics is a load of rubbish. Mathematics is not a load of rubbish. Even if the whole world were to claim that 2+2=5, someday the world will have to get it right and confess, "Yes, 2+2 are indeed 4".

Likewise, the churches and evangelists will someday have to confess that Jesus did deliver the world from LOSAD and that Jesus did conquer poverty, illness, disease and death; and that Jesus did deliver man from all sin, without any bits and pieces being left over for Him to deal with when He comes again.

Until churches, evangelists and believers finally bow their knees and confess that Jesus Christ is truly Lord, the world will continue to be plagued by sin and death - i.e. by LOSAD.

Admittedly, the way the Holy Spirit has shown me is a very lonely path, and quite literally, so far only a handful of people agree with me. But for me, that is the proof of the validity of the truth that has been revealed to me. It has always been so throughout history. At the beginning of any new revelation, the recipient of the revelation must stand stark alone and be prepared to be ridiculed, abused and even crucified. However, I am convinced that a time will come when more and more people will see the truth as shown to me.

Meanwhile if I were to pass on, it would only mean that my consciousness is still under the puppy dog’s tail syndrome. Paul asked us to crucify our minds and "Let the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus". He also said, "Be ye transformed through the renewal of your mind". Sin is in our minds first and only thereafter in the body and in the world.

Adam's sin was self-will, which is a state of consciousness. Quite clearly, even my mind has not been crucified yet and is still dominated by LOSAD, which is why I take life insurance and write a Last Will! But at least I see the problem! At least I am prepared to admit that it is not the principles of mathematics that are wrong but simply that my mind cannot fully grasp them. If I am getting my sums wrong, I won’t try to prove the principles of mathematics wrong!

When I am fully delivered from LOSAD, then will be fulfilled the saying, "Oh! Death, where is thy sting and death will be swallowed up in victory." However, as a first step, I will not accept sin and death as inevitable. If I accept that sin, disease and death are inevitable it is the same as saying that Jesus was a liar, that His D&R was incomplete and that the deliverance He gave us from LOSAD is not final.

Believers who quote the scriptures to show that disease, illness and death are inevitable, and must be accepted as God's will for us, and who glorify death, are really evangelists for LOSAD and not evangelists for the Risen Christ.

The Christ I worship delivered mankind from sin and death. It was final, irrevocable, total and absolute. There are no, "ifs" and "buts", no bits and pieces left over. To underscore it, His last words from the Cross were "IT IS FINISHED". Those words should be graven on the minds and hearts of evangelists and believers who continue to quote scriptures to justify sin and death.
